Super Sunday

Yesterday was Reiley's 5th Birthday! I can't believe that he's 5 already! 5 years ago today I was in hospital coping with my first baby and about a million visitors LOL Who knew that 5 years on I'd end up with two more and perhaps planning a 4th. I love our little family. I'm so filled with love for each of my children its overwhelming sometimes. Yesterday Jesse looked at me with that mischevious twinkle in his eye and said "I love you mummy" and kissed me on the cheek. MELT! How adorable.

The first thing Reiley wanted to do when he woke up yesterday is weight and measure himself. He's now 24kgs. Jesse is now 21kgs. Ruby, I'm not sure and I'll have to weigh her today.

The cat still hasnt had her kittens, but it must be any day now. Today she's been finding hiding spaces so we may be a little closer. Katie (our vet LOL) says she can feel two kittens, there may be another tucked away but there's at least two. We're trying to keep her indoors as much as possible.

Things are work are going ok. Not good, just ok. We will see how things progress.

Ciao for now!

Cuuuute!

This ticker is cuter, even thou its out by 1 day (but we can ignore that, can't we?)

Man its hot!

How much can a gal whinge on a blog? Soooooooooo hot today I had a fan on me at work, in the airconditioning! Phewwww-ie if I was and fatter I would've melted! Good/bad thing is I wont be back at work this week :)

The kids went to Grandmas today and Ben spent the day in the boys room cleaning it out and chucking out all the old/broken toys. Its sad to see some of em go, but nice not to have the huge clutter as well. As soon as it cools down I'm hitting our bedroom. It'll be the last room to be cleaned! I'm planning huge things for this house, it needs to be whipped into shape by ALL of us. Poor DH usually gets lumped with all the work but not anymore!

Where-oh-where-oh-where is Katie? If you're reading, my dear, how did the visit to the scrap shop go? Yesterday Katie, Glenn and myself went to the local Officeworks to check out their papers. They used to have a huge selection of vellum but not any more! At least we found Katies favourite shimmer paper cheaper than the LSS (Local Scrap Shop) and Glenn was there to see stuff too which was great :) I think they were off to the LSS today for Katie to show him more stuff.
Anyway, its shit hot and I'm going to eat ice-cream then go skinny-dipping in the kids wading pool! LOL

TTC/cycle charting

The top of the ticker says "Charting, ready to TTC now!" and the bottom says "Day 25 of 34 day cycle. 9 days until testing". This will count down the days every day until the next cycle. Click on it to read it better.

Feel it HOT HOT HOT

Here is the ovulation fairy LOL how cute is that. I've been hanging around the TTC forums on EB lately, torturing myself. To TTC or not to TTC, when to TTC, to talk about TTC with family or not. The questions are endless. Also love this blinkie.....

Planning to give it to SIL when they start to TTC.

If you read this blog, please dont direct link! Right click the image and save it to your computer first! Stealing = bad karma!

Damn it was HOT today. Apparently its going to be even hotter tomorrow. I have to go to work all day too :( damn wierd week with going away on wednesday and australia day on friday.

Anyway, nothing really to report......

*sigh*

Ok its officially ALMOST time to send the kids back to school and family day care. Everyone's tired of being in the house, tired of each other and tired of not having anything to do. Sometimes I guess you just cant afford to keep the kids entertained.

We got them a pool the other day and its fantastic. Remember the blue ones with metal legs when we were little? Well they still have them. Its big enough to fit me in too YAY! Having HEAPS of fun with it, but can only get in when its in the shade which isnt until late afternoon :(

The bug spray man was here today and he said it'll prolly need to goes to get rid of them all! Eeew I'm so grossed out. I've noticed a change already thou which is good.

The cat still hasnt had her kittens. I think she's due in another week or two, its so exciting! Want to see her fat tummy? Here's a pic from a week or two ago...

Ok so it isnt so fat then, but it is now! I could see the kittys moving around in there the other night WIERD. I guess thats what it must look like to other ppl when I'm pregnant LOL.

Speaking of pregnancy, DH and I are now discussing wether to TTC #4 or not. I'm definately leaning towards YES. No questions. DH has some valid reservations and we've made a pros and cons list, LOL.

aaargh, kids fighting again,

Roaches and Da Vinci

Two things happened yesterday and today. Ok so more than 2 things happened, but these are two that I felt the need to blog about for some reason LOL

Finally after what seemed like ages I saw the Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks and I must say I quite liked it. I definately liked it better than the book. Or maybe I just enjoyed looking at a mature Tom Hanks LOL.
After that movie, Ben and I spent about 3 hours debating religion, then I went to work and spent most of the afternoon discussing religion with a Jewish friend of mine. The movie is great for opening debate and I really love that.

The second thing is I booked a pest control company today to get rid of the damn german roaches that have invaded my house. I HATE them. Damn buggy pests! A local company is doing the house for $132 is that too much to pay? I dont care cause the lady on the phone was really nice so thats why I chose it.

Anyway, DH is talking about the Da Vinci Code again so I'm off

2007 in a word

I've been reading another blog where they suggest instead of making new years resolutions (which usually fail) try to sum up what you want from 2007 in one word. This is fairly easy I think for me. My word this year is PROGRESS. Progress in my career, progress in my studies, progress in my family life, progress as an individual. There is so much I can do this year with this word, its actually more exciting than resolutions.

Did I tell you all that I'm studying again this year? I'm not really sure why I applied now. I guess I've finished the accreditation process for Financial Counselling and right up until December last year work was only going to be 1 day per week as usual. This wasnt enough progress for me so I HAD to do something to better myself. Thats why I applied. Then I found the chance to apply for more funding with MV (the financial manager (bookkeeper) at work) and got 3 days paid. I am now no longer a volunteer in any capacity at work YAY. BUT this funding may take a while to be signed off on (its been approved, just waiting for it to fall from Heaven into our bank account). I guess studying while I can will benefit me somewhat and if it gets too much or I land the dream job I'll be gone. Its Cert IV in Community Work (welfare) at TAFE.

Anyway, kids are killing each other loudly so I'd better vamoose

Should've mentioned

I should've mentioned in my last post how great DH was. I rang him from work in tears and he met me at A&E, then mollycoddled me all day. I'm such a sook and he's sooooo great to me. Thanks DH!

Spectacular Craptacular

Ok so yesterday was NOT a good day for me.... Picture this, if you will....

I woke up and really didnt want to go to work, the only reason I was making the effort was a co-worker had some stuff to give to me. I physically and mentally dragged my feet and ended up leaving for work late. As my IRL ppl will know, we walk everywhere so there I was... ipod shuffle loaded up, shirt and top on body, shoes on feet and scowl on face walking to work. The route I take is directly along the highway (main road) of town. Its quite a walk and generally takes half an hour when I'm in that feet-dragging frame of mind. I walked, getting calmer as I neared my destination thanks in part to the Jackson 5 blaring in my ears. As I was within sight of my workplace IT HAPPENED. I saw a spider on the footpath and thought "eeew hope it doesnt run up my leg" and (as you do) kept my eye on it. Stupidly this meant I wasnt watching where I was walking and the inevitable happened. I tripped. And I mean TRIPPED. It was spectacular, the momentum I got up whilst trying to do that half run, trip trip to try and save myself, all the time thinking "I cant fall over, I havent fallen over for ages!" and BANG there I was skidding along the ground. In full view of peak hour motorists wearing a skirt! I'm sure I was groaning in embarrassment as well as pain as I picked my sorry-arse off the ground... walked back and retrieved my shoe and my handbag and limped off. To make matters worse, I got to work, sat down and promptly burst into tears! Double embarrassment! My foot was bleeding, palms grazed and elbow swelling rapidly and there I was crying while co-workers fanned me with bits of office paper, got me water and the 20 year old new guy promptly dissapeared red-faced. Wish I could've dissapeared as fast as he did.
After somewhat recovering from the embarrassment, a trip to A&E at the hospital (nothing broken), half a block of chocolate and a giggle about it on the phone to Mum, I'm feeling much better.
Might walk a different way to work on Monday thou!

Back to work.... bah humbug

Well kiddies I'm off to work again today. My 2 weeks of glorious holidays are over and its back to the crap factory again. Actually its not that bad lol. I will, however, really miss the kids. They are (of course) being utterly adorable this morning just to make it that little bit harder for me to leave!

Today is Canon MP830 day YAY! DH is under instruction to call me at work the MINUTE it arrives, then I can print out some cute pics of the kids (like the one above!) and scrapbook to my hearts content. OOOOH just had an idea... I can finally digiscrap and print them out YAY!

damn time to shower for work :(

Ciao for now!

Stress Headache? Me?

Hi gang,
For the last 2 days I've been getting headaches like migranes... nausea, light sensitivity, noise sensitivity.. but I'm not one to get migranes so DH thinks theyre stress headaches. Now its stressing me out trying to figure out what it is that I'm stressed about LOL. There are a few things but nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe its just a dehydration thing - NB drink more water damnit.
Ruby ate berries off the tree out the back yesterday and was really upset all last night. Think she may have had a tummy upset cause her poo was bright GREEN today lol. The tree is only a lilly pilly... Here's a pic I took

What is with all the ugly wedding dresses around? Katie and I looked yesterday and talk about UGMO! The forerunners are alfred angelo gowns, and for bridesmaids dresses.... nada... theres not much I like. Doesnt help being a fatty-boom-boom cause there are dresses I LOVE in a real Charlotte York Sex in the City style, but its prolly not a good look on a big girl.

Anyway, kids are fighting so GTG!

Ho-Hum

Slept in today which is naughty, but awoke with a mighty energy and cleaned the kitchen, loungeroom, and kids bedrooms (with the kids help) and vaccumed thru. Now I'm enjoying a nice milo (naughty).

My multifunction centre didnt come yesterday, damn wholesaler didnt ship it until yesterday afternoon so now it'll come Monday and shit arse cause I'm at work all day monday and I wanted to play! DH is under strict instructions not to open it when it comes until I come home LOL. Poor DH.

Katie is coming over sometime this weekend to browse for bridal wear. I found a lovely site www.alfredangelo.com which stocks gorgeous gowns for brides and bridesmaids.
How pretty is this dress! I might have to re-marry DH so I can wear it LOL. Whatever she chooses Katie is going to look so nice I'm jealous! She has a gorgeous smile and is soooo in luuurve its cute.
Not too sure about bridesmaids dresses yet. It really depends on what Katie wants I guess and what looks good with her dress. I've been looking a pics but most of all the dresses are young teeny-bopper punk skinny girl things. I'm definately gonna need a gut-sucker of some description to hide some lumps and bumps LOL.

Errrrr, the princess is screaming yet again for something! Better vamoose!

I Love My SIL

Actually I hate referring to her as a sister IN LAW, because shes rapidly becoming one of my favourite favourite people as a friend. I wish there was a better term for it rather than SIL... its almost like "My friend Katie, who's marrying my brother".

Anyway, I digress. I went over to their house yesterday to help with wedding plans. I got there at 4pm and ended up staying 5 hours! It was so much fun. I think we talked more than planned but gee their wedding is going to be lovely! Katie and I pretty much are on the same wavelength, we have the same style so everything she wants I LOVE. They're having it at the beach which will be so much fun. We're going to try dresses soon (I'm bridesmaid woo hoo).

BTW my multifunction printer was ordered yesterday to be overnighted from Sydney so hopefully it will arrive today? I'm soooooooooo excited cause we got the bonus pack too with bonus inks and stuff so I can print photos yeha!

BTW have I mentioned how much I hate Harvey Norman? Stupid me always thinks that no matter how rude the salesman was last time, theres bound to be a nice one this time. I spoke to 3 different sales people at the local store yesterday and their attitude is just SHOCKING. Even the girl who works the switchboard is just RUDE. We buy a LOT of technology and I will NEVER EVER buy from them again... EVER... EVER EVER.

anyway, kids are up and DH needs some attention LOL. P.S went walking with mum again today which was nice. I think I'll miss our chats when we both go back to work next week

Canon MP830

Just popping in to show off the Multifunction centre I want

Isnt it puuuurdy? except for the ugly document feeder thingy on top. Lurve the screen (abeit small) and you can see it for yourself at http://www.canon.com.au/products/all_in_one_printers/all_in_one_printers/mp830.html

I just rang HN and they've got it for $549 (retail) but I can get it wholesale thru a business I can access for more than $100 cheaper than retail. Problem is I would have to wait LOL I'm sooooooo not patient

Sunshine-y day

Goooooood Morning blogger-land! I've been up since 5 and gone for my morning walk with Mum so I'm unusually chipper this morning, especially as its STILL raining!

The kids are going to Grandmas today so DH and I are hitting the town, well Harvey Norman anyway. We've got our eye on a new multifunction printer thingy-bob which DH assures me wont need kicking like our current one! I just luuuurve the Canon ones, they make the sexiest looking multifunction centres ever. DH wants a document feed one thou which I think is very UN-sexy. You can definately tell that all the designers are men. We wont mention the other brand that DH likes either, clearly made by men for men who still love the 80's! Think grey plastic, black trim boxy boxy clunky crap! But then again, he also wants to pay an extra $80 for a sexier looking modem/router. Bugger that, no one looks at your damn router! Buy the fugly one and give me the $80 LOL.

Whoops, princess Ruby is awake by the sounds of it so I'll update you all after HN's! With pics LOL
ciao!

Kids and Kristmas and Kaos Oh My!

Wow, I never understood anyones aversion to Christmas holidays and children before. I always loved the time together and playing with toys and books. Now my children are a little older I'm beginning to understand. Chaos. The boys are at the age now where every minor hiccup becomes a fightable offence. They are continuously arguing and fighting to the point of fisticuffs over every stupid little thing imaginable.
This morning Reiley was chasing a screaming, crying histerical Jesse ready to punch as soon as he caught him. Reiley, in full war cry, was stoppped (naturally) by me and asked why he was chasing his brother. The answer?
He took my bus.
Where is the bus now?
I have it back
So why are you chasing your brother?
Because he had it and it was mine

Logic, it seems fails the 4 to 5 year old age group. This I can understand, however when the said 4-5 year old then tries to explain why a hotdog shaped radio is broken using a logical process I am completely baffled. Bring on school I say! Can't wait to go to work next week for a bit of a rest!
Spare a thought for DH who cannot escape until the end of January!

NYE

Happy New Year!
Hope you had a lovely NYE and made some resolutions? I made one to be a better person but DH said there wasnt anything there I could improve on cause I was already perfect LOL what a sweetheart.
Spent last night sleeping mostly and was sick as well. Trust me to vomit and it not be alcohol related on NYE!
Kids are doing well, and looks like the cat is UTD! What a welcome to 2007!
