Thought for today

Found this and I love it-

'Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live.'

Workin at the truck wash..... yeah

How cute is that? The boys helped Poppy wash the truck today. They were given the all important jobs of washing the wheels and the tank. Here they decided to take liberties and wash the door for pop too. The boys had lots of fun and got paid $1 for being good helpers LOL

Busy Day, Beach Day

As you can see the kids and I visited the beach today with my mum (THANKS NAN!) What a goegeous day. This pic was actually taken at the river in Ballina, NSW. The boys were so excited to see the water they were running and squealing and jumping around. It was so lovely to see them so happy. Ruby was also paddling and watching the boys run around. She wanted to sit in the sand but silly mum forgot to bring an extra set of clothes for her.

I also went to check out an information session on a course I want to do next year. Its 2 years part time but I'm thinking of trying to get some advanced standings on some modules and maybe I can squeeze it into 1 year? maybe not but at least I'm going to try. I've got the application in my hot little hand ready to fill in and hand in tomorrow.
P.S my FC case study has been posted, waiting waiting waiting for a reply. I got a call from a sydney number today but had to ignore it cause I was in a meeting at work (bugger) hoping it wasnt the FC secretary about my case study??!!

Moving ahead with the scrap n chat idea. Meeting with S tomorrow to thrash out some ideas and get moving on it. Ideally I want this up and running before feb next year. Note to self - must get back in on some FC clients.

Anyway, tired and sandy with an application to fill in!

Crap crap crappy day

What a lovely title!

Started out I had to facilitate a group workshop for 10-12 people, except that only 2 ppl turned up. What a damned waste of time that was.

Took all the kids shopping forgot several things, got home and had nothing for tea... promptly burst into tears and sobbed like a baby! What is wrong with me? I think AF might be paying a visit lol.

My mother visited today, which was nice. I feel like we're a bit separated at the moment. Can't help but feel she thinks I could be doing better? or maybe thats just the hormones talking again.
Didnt tell her about my new tattoo.

My FC case study was in the post today after a delay in finding the correct address to post it to. Now just a wait to find out how I did. I need a 4 leaf clover for luck lol

anyway, feeling crappy so (b)logging off for now

Tattoos and small towns

Today was a corker. First I had to travel for 3/4 of an hour to a small town to see 2 clients YAWN and then I decided that today was the day for my new tattoo.
I'd been waiting since R was born to get a tattoo of his name. Now with 3 I decided that their names were too much and settled on their first initial. Here's a sneak peak, fresh on the skin.

Its looking a little red and raised still but its ok. I was a little nervous about getting it done cause I havent had a tatt since 2001... I was thinking ok, does this hurt cause I remember thinking it didnt hurt much... but my memory might be stuffing me up? I lay there, aprehensive, listening to the needle working and then she started and I was like ok, this is fine, annoying but not painful. And she's wiping it and going again and I'm drifting off thinking of work and the kids and stuff, and shes wiping again and its all over! WT? I said "oh, is that it?" (DER) lol. Can't wait for the next one now. I'm getting a tiny blue butterfly hovering over the top of the gap between the J and the R and thats for Chloe and Isaiah.. flying free.

Anyway, off for tonight...

ciao!

Scrap n Chat 2

Ok so I promised I'd update about the scrap thing. Well I came up with the idea to host crops firstly to meet ppl cause I need more friends... they keep moving away! I imagine its because Lismore stinks, not anything to do with me at all ha ha ha. Anyway, yes for social reasons as well as financial. Thinking maybe we'll have crop kits to purchase etc etc. As well as individual pieces and tools. This will benefit me cause I can make a little money as well as getting wholesale prices for me YE-HA!

I've entered another digi scrapping challenge on SWO (msn scrapping group). DH thinks I was ripped off in the last challenge cause my LO's were the best and a "crappy" one won. Must think I secretly agree there lol, althought I dont think the other LO was crappy... just not as good as mine ha ha ha. I wish blogger would let me upload a LO here to share! It might let me upload my EB sig thou? trying....

Yay it worked! Used a url instead of uploading from my comp. Maybe thats the key to posting pics? Ok might try again with a LO. This one is me and DH. Its one of the ones I entered in the SWo challenge

Yay it worked again! Blogger secrets revealed LOL. I've only been struggling with posting pics for a FEW MONTHS now! LOL

Ok better go cause Ruby's assisting again and I'll lose my post.

Scrap and chat

why has the worst day been so productive?

Firstly I went to work today and someone I dont particularly like was working the same day. This seemed to cloud my entire day a very particular shade of nasty. It was also a productive day in the fact that I saw 4 clients, finished my case study for FC and began organising a scrap and chat group with S.

I'm so freakin THRILLED that my case study is finished, I can't believe it. Its been haunting me for sooo long... the last step towards accreditation. Apparently the head guy that ran my exam singled me out as really good, and was quite impressed. Made me feel heaps better because I'm such a stress-head when something is really important to me. If it was tafe or something like that I wouldnt generally give a toss, but this particular career is so damned important to me. I feel like my life will progress once I've received this case study back and become accredited. Probably sounds silly but this process actually began in 2004 so its been a long time coming!

I'll update more on the scrap thing cause Gunfight at the OK Corral is on and I luuurve that movie!
ciao!

You'd think

You'd think that because I'd had the week from hell and was finally feeling better yesterday; that I'd be even better today. WRONG. Today I've woken with a head cold! Woe is me!
On the positive side thou, yesterday we managed to go shopping and I got some much needed scrapping glue. I'm using the Xyron glue tape and managed to go thru 2 reels of the damn stuff yesterday and today. Almost finished Reiley's mini album thou which I'm pretty happy about. Not sure if I like it or not thou. Its not really "trendy" or "commercial". Not like the LO's you see on bragging forums or magazine sites... not really print worthy. But I kinda like it. Its mine. Its not flowery or ribbony or purely the arrangement of pre-made embellishments and rub-ons. Might as well just buy page ploppers really. Its mine with hand made stuff, minimal embellies and hand written journalling. I tried some new techniques on it too which is nice. Nothing too adventurous. I got some chipboard letters so painting and sanding has been quite fun. Also tried making my own from cardboard and actually got some success considering I was using scissors and not a cutting system. Next I move on to Jesse's mini album. His theme is green which will be trying because I NEVER scrap with green. But I didnt want to make it blue because Reiley's is blue. Ruby's of course will be pink (and brown). I wanted Rubes to have a red one, but not real good with red LO's. Looks too cheap IMO.
Anyway, must post b4 Rubes tries to "help" and I lose the post

Poo's and Spews!

OMG what a week
Spent it mostly in the loo. DH, DS#1 and I were all really sick. Today has been the first day I feel semi normal HA! We've all lost weight which is pretty good for me.
Spent time digi scrapping mostly... I'll see if blogger will let me post a pic (prolly not)
Nope, sorry folks! Might upload to photobucket and post a link instead. Damn blogger!
Anyway, as my week has been pretty uneventful I'll get going.
Ciao!
